A Laughter poem

This week 4m have been learning about lots of different poems. One of the poems that we wrote was a friends poem. A friends poem is when you write about your friends or other friends like your mum, dad or your grandparents. I have written a poem on laughter. This is my poem

Laughter

People laugh all the time.
And laughter makes you glad,
But when people do bad things to you
It makes you very sad.
Laughter is like booming voices that scream very loud,
and makes you very proud.

5W poem

This week we have learning about 5 W poems. I wrote two poems. The first one I wrote was called Water. Here is my poem.

WATER

Blue bubbly water
Is like blue sky
Every day and every night
It runs through the pipes
Because which ever way the pipe goes, that's what way the water goes.

Building Structures

We have been leaning about structures. We are in groups of three. The two people who are in my group are Eloise and Maddie. We had to build a structure that was more than 25 cm high and you could only use 30 straws. You can only use 60 cm of tape. We finished our structure but sometimes it falls over. The next day the tape did not work. We used different tape and it worked better. Our structure stood up by itself.

Myths and legends

This week we have been writing myths and legends. I liked reading myths and legends. I have read 6 myths and but no legends. We had to complete an activity for each myth that we read. There were fifteen activities to choose from. I chose activity 6 and activity 7. Those were my favourite activities. We have also been writing myths and legends.

Myth writing on Australia with my partner

Taylor and I have been working on a story called How the Koala got his fluffy ears. We have also been drawing pictures and writing stories as well. First we started to write our story then we drew our pictures. After that we started to type our story. It took us a long time but we managed to finish it. A couple of days ago we edited it. It took a long time as well. It was great fun.
I had great fun doing things like drawing, writing and typing.

BULLYING

I have not been bullied ever in my life. But in a book that we are reading in class, two boys bully each other. When somebody is bullied you should try and stop them. I think bulling is about trying to make somebody do something the bully likes to do. I do not know why people bully each other. People should not bully other people even when they bully you. You should tell someone if you are bullied.

My learning about fractions

I learnt about fractions and using chocolate to divide it into halves and quarters. I also learnt what a fraction is. A
fraction is a part of a whole. I learnt that trying to spilt ten into quarters, and splitting five into halves and quarters .
